Editorial: If You Haven't Been To The RVA Rap Elite, What Are You Doing?

The premier cypher platform in Virginia, RVA Rap Elite is returning on the 24th with another episode. If you haven't been to an episode of the RVA Rap Elite, honestly, what are you even doing? Rap Elite has everything that you would ever want in a hip-hop event packed into a three to four-hour show. Open cyphers, rap battles, team cypher battles, a producer showcase, and special guest appearances. Rap Elite has a drafting and points system to keep up with to see who has the best judges scores throughout the season, which can be seen more on their Youtube channel. The Rap Elite is what happens when you put YO! MTV Raps in a pot, mix it with106th and Park Freestyle Fridays, and give it a dash of general managers preparing for the NBA Draft selecting emcees to represent their brand. The last episode that was uploaded on YouTube was episode 31 which you can watch below.
In the last episode, the open cypher of thirty emcees went into two sudden deaths. This episode looks like it'll be an excellent follow-up to the last episode featuring dope emcees like $y G (pronounced Dollar Sign G), Southpaw battle rappers Robalu and Bakarii Kennedy, Cole B, and Mila Mansa. The headline performer is Norfolk emcee, Era Hardaway. Era has been featured on platforms like ThisIs50, Bars on i95, Elevator Magazine, and The Source. He has a very distinctive voice and a keen way of telling stories. Below is the visual for his song War Wounds.
Southpaw Battle Coalition is having the semifinals to the Road To Supremacy battle rap tournament take place during the episode. I have covered the tournament in the past with my second article relating to the tournament covering the quarter-finals. Shoutout to everyone who was involved in the elite eight. We are down to the final four in the Road To Supremacy as J Morr faces against Preme and Big Jinya will battle Will Jung. You can order tickets in advance for ten dollars in advance, not fifteen as it says on the flyer. The show is on October 24th. Show starts at 5:30 pm.
