FishSkale Rabble Starts New Year Hot With Newest Album "Best After Percy"

Updated: May 19, 2022

The Virginia Beach native FishSkale Rabble is seeking to push more content this year with his newest project Best After Percy. For those who aren't familiar with FishSkale, he began his music career in 2017 after being released from prison. Ever since then, he has built a solid fan base to further propel his journey from the streets to stages in fine fashion. In 2021, he released two singles and the Pool Shot EP. Best After Percy is a nine-track project that is a great introduction point for new fans to get accustomed to FishSkale's sounds. The cover art pays homage to a variety of Virginia celebrities from musicians like Missy Elliot, Pusha T and No Malice to sports athletes like Michael Vick, Allen Iverson, and Chesepeake's own Percy Harvin, former Super Bowl Champion and wide receiver for the Bills, Seahawks, and Vikings.

FishSkale shares his stories of work and rhymes with confidence that no one can put up real number like him on songs like Still Servin. The next track Still Servin is John Snow featuring Richmond rapper Young Flexico. It's a bass HEAVY track where FishSkale spits about the differences between him and his competition. The collaboration of FishSkale and Flexico was something that needed to be done earlier due to the similarities in their taste for production and content. One of the high points of the album includes Low Life where he raps about financial freedom with a catchy chorus shouting "Fuck Being Broke!". The production on Low Life was the most balanced beat on the project. It didn't overuse or underuse any compoenet of the beat and samples the brief Ozzy Ozbourne "Ay!" yell from his iconic song Crazy Train. This album is an opening statement for how 2022 is going to be for FishSkale: you either sink or swim, and his team is not drowning anytime soon. Best After Percy is available on all streaming platforms and keep up with the rapper on all social media @fishskalerabble.
