Abuja-based Afro-fusion artist Lloyd 7 has returned with a seven song EP, Better Days. The project is brimming with melodic spirit, infectious energy and of course, familiar world-renowned Afrobeats percussion.
The project has undeniably memorable moments just off the first listen. It's hard to forget the allure and catchiness of International Flex, or the confidence evident in the vocals of Undeniable.
The two features on this EP understand tone well and mesh with Lloyd 7's established soundscape in Better Days.
Payday is another personal standout of this EP, where Lloyd 7 links with fellow PutDaBeat Records signee Blessnjol for a track with a faster tempo, centered around working to achieve one's dreams, "Every hustler got a payday." As Lloyd sings.
Lloyd 7 also released a video released alongside the project, showing the listening party and the initial public reaction to Better Days.
