PRODUCER OF THE WEEK: MØW
Our Producer of the Week is 27 year old Billboard producer Micah “MØW” Wormley. MØW is originally from King and Queen County, VA but he is currently residing in Richmond and is RVA based. Aside from being a Billboard producer for Sleepless Nights by Trey Songz, MØW also has production credits for Davido, Pusha T, Blac Youngsta, Lil Gotit, and more!
On top of being a talented producer, he is also a songwriter, music engineer, and hosts events for others to network their brand! MØW is truly a multifaceted musician, and he is clearly building his own vision and legacy, as well as helping others, one step at a time.

Vy: How long have you been producing?
MØW: I started producing in 2009 or 2010, so around 13 or 14 years now.
Vy: Who are some of your production credits?
MØW: Some artists I've worked with include Pusha T, Trey Songz, Lil Got It, Blac Youngsta, Fat Trel, Rich Homie Quan, Slim Jxmmi, and more.
Vy: Briefly describe your sound.
MØW: My signature sound can be described as ambient, lush, and nostalgic melodies over hard drums.
Vy: What inspires you to produce?
MØW: I’m inspired by life and the music that I listen to. I love modernizing old sounds and reproducing songs that I enjoy.
Vy: What is your work process like when building a beat?
MØW: I don’t really have a set process when it comes to anything with music.
I just trust my instincts and go with the flow of inspiration." - MØW
Vy: What's your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
MØW: I just enjoy the art of creating music. It’s the only space where I feel like I am able to effectively express myself. I also enjoy collaborating with other talented individuals to create art. It's such a fun process!
Vy: Who are some of your musical influences?
MØW: I grew up listening to a lot of RnB music. I was heavily influenced by producers like Babyface and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. As I actually started producing, producers like Lex Lugar, Young Chop, Pharrell, Timberland, and Yung Lan influenced me directly.
Vy: Who is your dream artist to produce for?
MØW: My dream is to work with Pharrell. I’m inspired by his brand, his approach to music, and his sound design.
Vy: What was/is the hardest project that you've worked on, and how did you overcome it?
MØW: I’m currently working on a producer album, and coordinating all of the songs and locking in everything has been a struggle. I think what helps me overcome it is knowing that everything takes time as well as giving myself grace to see it through so it’s done right, rather than rushing.
Vy: lastly, name one fun fact about yourself!
MØW: Fun fact, I’m a pro wrestling stan! WWE, NJPW, AEW, I follow them all. I’d love to produce a wrestler theme song one day.
Despite his busy schedule, MØW was so kind and communicative throughout this whole process. I learned so much about him through this interview, and his melodies really are no joke! It's truly inspiring seeing everything that he is accomplishing, both music wise and in the community. Stay tuned for MØW's upcoming producer album as well as our next Producer of the Week!
