Our Producer Of The Week is Timond Billie AKA MondMadeIt! He is an eighteen year old producer from Churchill, Richmond, VA who also records and mixes tracks. MondMadeIt was actually recommended to me by our last Producer Of The Week, Lil G. They are in the same producer group called Drilluminati. This is the first person I've interviewed that is younger than me, so this will be a breath of fresh air and I am hoping to learn a lot from his experiences!
Vy: What inspired you to start producing?
MondMadeIt: What inspired me to make beats was my Uncle Derrick. When I was around 10 years old, he used to have an in-house studio and I would go there to watch him create beats. I eventually became a rapper from the ages of 11-16 years old. After I quit playing basketball, I decided to make beats in 2020.
Vy: Briefly describe what your work process is like.
MondMadeIt: I started out making beats on my IPhone with Fl Studio Mobile. A week after, I made my first beat sale for $20 and decided to make it my career. Now I have 2 studios: one in my own room and one in Varina, Richmond, VA.
Vy: Lastly, what's a fun fact you want the audience to know about?
MondMadeIt: A fun fact is that Truth Gunna and $poiledBrat are my siblings. $poiledBrat and I are actually twins both born on January 14, 2004.
I was shocked to find out that MondMadeIt is considerably new to the producing scene! It's only been two years, but he already has multiple projects released with others. He also helps his siblings out with recording and mixing, further honing his skills. The team work and dedication is truly admirable, and it is clear that family means a lot to him.
