Our Producer Of The Week is Skinnyy Hendrixx, AKA The Smooth League Villain. Hendrixx is a multifaceted individual boasting talent in all departments such as being a professional recording artist, producer, songwriter, music engineer, and entrepreneur. Some of his production credits include Baby featuring Madam V, Arrest The Killers by Radio B, and even his own song titled Take Me I’m On My Wav! To Hendrixx, "these big tracks show you I have no limit to what I can create."
Vy: Briefly introduce yourself. How long have you been producing?
Hendrixx: I’m 29 years old, and I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. I’ve been producing for about 12 years with an even longer history of music and percussion.
Vy: Who are your musical inspirations?
Hendrixx: My inspiration comes from the greats who changed the sound such as Timbaland, Pharrell, Hi-Tek, Dr. Dre, JDilla, Madlib, and more.
Vy: What is your producing process like?
Hendrixx: When I’m getting in my zone to start creating I like to come in with an empty mind. I think about which kind of drums to select or what kind of melody/sample to start with.
