Richmond celebrates the 50th anniversary of hip-hop at the iconic Hippodrome Theater in Historic Jackson Ward. This momentous event, RVA Rapper’s Delight, is brought to you by Shockoe Records and producer Ant The Symbol, and powered by theMSQshop.
A stellar lineup of performers features Nickelus F, Noah-O, Radio B, Cane, and Reppa Ton — some of the most popular talents in Richmond’s hip-hop scene. We’ll also pay homage to some of Central Virginia’s hip-hop trailblazers through the past five decades — pioneers who continue to inspire generations of artists. Music will be provided by HipHopHenry.
Mike Street will serve as host and offer a tribute to the captivating and significant history of hip-hop in the 804. Hip Hop Henry will keep the energy flowing through the night.
RVA Rapper’s Delight promises an unforgettable night Friday, Aug. 11, filled with electrifying performances and an homage to Central Virginia’s hip-hop culture and legacy.
Nickelus F

Nickelus F is an eminent figure in the Richmond hip-hop scene, known for his skilled lyricism and distinct delivery. With his distinctive fusion of southern and east coast hip hop, he's been making waves in the industry for the better part of two decades. His raw, emotive narratives, combined with innovative beat selections, make him a standout artist - especially significant albums like “Vices” and “Triflin”.
Appearances and 7-Time Hall of Famer on BET’s 106 & Park’s Freestyle Friday was the beginning of a legendary career. Reaching top 100 on Billboard with “Can’t Think Positive” and collaborations with high-profile artists like Drake and T-Pain have only amplified his reach. Nickelus F is set to drop his next album “The Specimen” on August 18th.
Noah-O

Noah-O is a highly respected Richmond MC who has used his sharp lyrics and compelling storytelling to narrate the realities of life in the 804. With a discography that spans across several albums, Noah-O's resilient spirit and ceaseless grind have placed him at the forefront of Richmond's hip-hop evolution. Noah-O single “I Got It” debuted on MTV in 2011. His authenticity and determination have been a source of inspiration for many young artists, including him opening his flagship store in Richmond, VA arts district (106 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23220).
Radio B

Radio B is a prolific rapper who has helped to shape the sound of Richmond hip-hop. Known for his intense, insightful lyrics and powerful performances, Radio B has consistently pushed the boundaries of the genre. His ability to combine social commentary with singles like “Arrest The Killers” (which debuted on Bet Jams) has gained recognition beyond the local scene. Now running the platform RVA Rap Elite which is a showcase that not only highlights indie talent but also educates them on lyricism and performing.
Cane

Cane's unique style bridges the gap between classic and contemporary hip-hop. Known for his clever wordplay and sophisticated flow, Cane is a lyricist at heart who effortlessly fuses personal narratives with broader cultural commentary. His talent has been recognized nationally, and he has shared stages with some of the industry's most significant artists. With appearances on Sway on MTV and collaborations with Statik Selektah, Talib Kweli, & CJ Fly. RVA Rapper’s Delight is the first stop in Cane’s H20: Water Park tour which runs til the end of September.
Reppa Ton

Reppa Ton has established himself as a versatile hip-hop artist in Richmond's vibrant scene. From introspective lyrics to infectious beats, his music explores the multifaceted nature of life in the city. Reppa Ton's genre-blending approach has made him a standout, leaving an indelible mark on Richmond's hip-hop landscape.
Mike Street

As a host and community figure, Mike Street is a beacon of Richmond's music scene and Hip-Hop history. Known for his charismatic presence and deep knowledge of hip-hop history, Street has made significant contributions to promoting local talent with platforms like F.L.O (For Locals Only). Mike Street, a 30+ year radio veteran, caught the radio bug doing a one-off mix show on WDCE (University of Richmond) during Black History Month. He got his own show which ran for over five years. He then moved on to WCDX as the station’s mixer. In a short period of time, he became the Music Director and the PM Drive host. In 2001, he helped launch WBTJ as MD/APD and transitioned into PM drive.
After becoming PD, Mike was also given the opportunity to simultaneously program 103JAMZ and 92.1 The Beat in Norfolk. In 2019 he received the prestigious Marconi Award for Medium Market Personality Of The Year. In 2022, his station received a Marconi nomination for “Urban Station of the Year”. He received its 2nd Marconi nomination for “Urban Station of the Year” in 2023. Mike Street currently does PM drive at top ranked WBTJ/ Richmond as its Brand Manager. He also manages Hot 105.7 in Milwaukee, as well as some programming for BIG 98.5 Country/ Richmond. His passion for Richmond’s music culture is contagious and Marconi Award Winner, making him a fitting choice to host the RVA Rapper’s Delight.
