Tiara & Andrew are a dynamic duo that are bound to be on the radar in RVA! With a chilled out beat and the use of nostalgic storytelling, Roller Skates is definitely an addictive single for this fall 2021. Even though this song was originally released in 2018, it has reappeared in their most recent album, which also happens to be called Roller Skates!
The song itself talks about a reckless puppy love that can be relatable for many listeners. The chorus repeatedly says "we make bad choices...but these are the best years." The roller skates themselves can refer to the child like nature of this situationship. They serve as a center piece of this past couple's memories together. The skates could also signify the speed of how quickly it happened and ended: It was just a whirlwind of events.
As the weather is getting colder and the sun is setting sooner, it's okay to feel lonely sometimes. All you gotta do is vibe out to this song and remember that everyone has been through it at some point. "Everyone makes bad choices in their best years."
