TrapHouse Koda Cruises Through Life On "Dirt Road Lullaby"

Virginia Beach's own TrapHouse Koda has been having a successful fourth quarter of the year so far. He's coming off his rap song Old Silverado cracking one million views on YouTube since its release in July and continues to propel his music with his new visual for Dirt Road Lullaby.

In a moment of transparency, only watching snippets, I was not expecting to like the music. Yet, this was a rather pleasant surprise. I checked out Old Silverado prior to this visual and loved how Koda always carries an authentic upbeat persona within his music. It's a unique brand of country rap that is done RIGHT. The visual starts off with Koda being infatuated with this curvaceous woman and drinking wine at this picnic, but that soft and gentle approach of painting a story like that isn't the vintage Koda style from his videos. His music videos display great times involving alcohol, tricked out Chevys, and everyone around him having a fantastic time. It's not even a week and the song already has almost twenty thousand views. Koda has a catchy country accent on his choruses and mixes it with an unorthodox flow that will grab the attention of any listener.

You see Koda brings a party with him wherever he goes in his video, so you can only imagine the crowd he'll bring at the Kanye Monster Ball hosted by TheMSQShop this Friday, October 29th. You can get the tickets and full itinerary of the event here.
