Our Producer Of The Week is Andrew Hypes: a DJ, music producer, and drummer from Waynesboro, Virginia. Hypes has been making music for over 15 years. Since a young child, his father Randy has played an integral part in the 80’s baby's knowledge of music, and he continues to support his talents and taste for music. As far as favorite acts go, Hypes puts Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy, George Clinton and Prince as his top musical influences.
Andrew has played for shows in major cities like New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Hypes has opened for individuals such as Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, Diplo, Pusha-T, G-Unit, Daya, Lil Dicky, and more. He has produced music for Grammy award-winning artist Lecrae, comedian Jay Pharoah, Evan Barlow, French Montana, and Mad Skillz, He has even traveled to both London and France, producing music for IBM.
Andrew Hypes continues to push the envelope with his jack-of-all-trades approach to music, building his fan base and viewership in clubs and on social media. Hypes recently was featured in a new book titled Self Made Boss written by Billionaire Jackie Reses.
Hypes currently boasts over 20 million impressions on Twitter, approaching 2 million views on YouTube, and he is verified on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter.
