Throwback Thursday: ONM De'Sean Collabs With Jay Activist & Anjul On "Understand Me"

Updated: Mar 28, 2022

Understand Me is a laid back dancehall song that talks about relationship issues when it comes to not knowing what to say to your partner. It was made last year late in the summer, and ended up being released on October 1st. It features ONM De'Sean and Jay Activist on the verses, and Anjul on the bridge. They are from Georgia and currently attend KSU!

I loved the upbeat vibe that the dancehall track added to the song. The beat and lyrics remind me of Too Good by Drake ft. Rihanna, in every way. This song is so versatile in the fact that you can listen to it when you wanna either dance or be in your feels. I'm not gonna lie, when I first found this song I listened to it on repeat for a good week.

The chorus is so catchy, which I think is the best part since it really draws in new listeners. The verses were also tasteful and had their own unique flavors and flow. Anjul's smooth vocals are really the cherry on top of this track. It's like how Too Good wouldn't have been too good without Rihanna's feature.

"You don't understand me, and I don't understand you. I know that you don't plan to, I know you're gonna leave me."

Overall, it was an amazing trendy track and I can't wait to see more from these three!
