Troy Is Back With "A N**** Might've Cared Too Much"

Richmond, VA-based artist Troy is back with his sophomore album, A Nigga Might've Cared Too Much. This care package for the overthinkers is as healing as it is introspective, coupling emotions of depth with tranquil soundscapes that speak to the soul.

The immersive storytelling is elevated further by the voices featured in the project. Comforting vocal performances by MACK bring warmth and familiarity on Trippin and Happy. Also featured on Happy, Mick Jenkins speaks candidly of the depth of love and commitment, sans the rainbows and butterflies. Sobering words from Fly Anakin bring character and grit to the pursuit of purpose on It Ain't The Same.

The world through Troy's eyes is painted vividly on ANMCTM, bringing to life themes of purpose, love, dreams, and belonging. Anyone can reach a certain level of visibility with their craft, but it takes diligence, vulnerability, and intention to create a piece that sees the audience. By those metrics, ANMCTM is an instant success.
