JuJuRulezMan, a singer/songwriter from Richmond, VA has graced us with yet another lovelorn ballad, HBU. The song thematically revolves around graduating, literally and as a metaphor for emotional growth and learning from the past. Masterfully applying her own vocals to the pained piano beat, she drags across tragic and universal emotions that anyone who's ever loved someone can resonate with. As she sings in the song, "Sometimes I be down bad, and times I went out sad, I still graduated at the top of Heartbreak Class." The sky is the limit for this talented songstress, elevating any beat she is put on, as a feature or frontrunner. HBU is not a diamond in the rough, but a link in a chain of great singles JuJu has put out over the last 2-3 years, and the only way to understand is to listen for yourself.
